The Examination Of Certain Behaviors

The polar bear sits atop his thin floating block of ice, looking across the horizon and across the sheets of broken icebergs. He looks across the frozen waters and penguins and he looks to be at peace. The expression on his face seems like that of certainty. The polar bear seems to be waiting, but how can one be so sure? he floats along on his iceberg, not moving a muscle on his face, his arms or anything else in particular. Until, at last, the bear’s head raises and his eyes seem to widen. His gaze has remained distant and possibly more sure. However, what the polar bear sees cannot be seen from our distance. What he is thinking, we cannot be sure of. He keeps his head raised, his gaze constant as he treks across the gaps of water. One can see a figure from afar. Contrasted between the sun and horizon, there is an indistinguishable shadow. If it were only possible to communicate with the bear, one could be sure as to what the attraction could be. For now, we watch as he slowly makes his way across the ice. To follow and see would be a disturbance. For now, the only true distinction that we can make is that he is simply following his instincts.
